Downtown Tour Details

Article posted October 15, 2009

For those attending our Ghosts of Kalamazoo Tour in Downtown Kalamazoo on October 16 and 17, here’s all the details you need to know:

Reservations

If possible, please try to be there at least five minutes early. Please try to make your scheduled tour, as we are very full for this entire weekend.

We do always keep spots open for people who walk up. It’s really hard to determine how full each tour is going to be; some people no-show, and that opens up more spots.

We rarely turn people away, so please come, and we’ll do our best to get everyone in.

Where to meet/park

We’ll be meeting in Bronson Park, right behind the courthouse. We recommend parking there as well, should be plenty of spots for everyone.

Google Map

Due to the cold weather, we are trying to secure a warmer location to set up registration. In either event, someone will be in Bronson Park directing you where to go.

What to bring

For those of you who brought flashlights to previous tours this year, you can probably leave them at home for this one. We’ll be sticking to the well-lit areas.

Weather – Forecast calls for cold conditions – bring a warm jacket, some gloves and a hat! If the conditions get horrible (if winds pick up or it starts raining), we may have to cut things short. Tour guide health will take priority.

Other Information

For those that have asked, t-shirts will be $5, with 100% of the money going to Warm Kids.

It looks like the authors of the new book “Haunted History Of Kalamazoo” will be on hand Saturday night. There should be books for sale, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Warm Kids.

We’re looking forward to a great Tour, and we’re excited for our second weekend of the Tour. Thanks as always for your support!
